I got to talk to my cousin's aunt a while ago. She is mexican and lives by the border in Mexico. She doesn't know a lot of English so my cousin, who is also mexican, translated for us. It was interesting hearing Spanish from her and trying to figure out what she was saying. She talked about how violent the border is and it made me realize how safe we really are in Iowa.
