Spanish At Work
About three weeks ago I had to go to the doctor in Manchester so I  stopped where my mom works. She works at the courthouse. While I was  waiting for my appointment my mom was talking to another person  she  works with about school and I started talking about it too. Then we got  on the subject of Spanish. The girl my mom works with said that she took  it for two years and only used it once but it was in the strangest  place. It was about ten years ago and she was the manager of a tool  store and she was walking around door to door handing out fliers or  something. She stopped at one persons house and the girl there only  spoke Spanish, and they lived in Manchester! She stood there and tried  to think of some words to say, because she hasn't talked in Spanish for  about 15 years. She thought of  enough words to hold a conversation.  That proves Spanish is still important and it can be in any job. she was  a tool store manager and she still had to speak Spanish and it was in  Manchester, so Spanish is used everywhere even here.
